Request removal of your Spotlight data.

Send a deletion request
- Open @bspotlight.in on Instagram and send a direct message headed Spotlight data deletion request.
- Include your Instagram handle, Spotlight profile link and the scope of your request: account deletion, Instagram verification data, profile removal or specific personal information.
- Where possible, send the request from the Instagram account concerned. If you have lost access, explain that in your message so we can discuss another way to verify the request.
Do not send passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, card details, access tokens or identity documents in your initial message.
What happens next
A Spotlight administrator reviews the request manually and may ask for limited information to verify that you are authorized to make it. We then identify the relevant data and explain any information that must remain and why. Contact the same account to ask for an update. Sending a message does not immediately delete your account.
What you can ask us to remove
You can request deletion or anonymization of your account information, private Instagram verification identifiers and claim evidence, owner-provided contact information and other personal data associated with your use of Spotlight. You can also request review and removal of a public profile that concerns you, including one nominated by someone else.
Records that may need to remain
Some payment, refund, security, fraud-prevention or dispute records may need to remain for legal obligations or legitimate unresolved matters. We restrict the retained information to the purpose that requires it. A request to delete your account is distinct from requesting removal of a publicly nominated profile; tell us if you want both reviewed.
Unclaiming and disconnecting
Unclaiming a profile or clearing its contact details does not delete all account, claim or payment records. Clearing browser storage does not delete server records. Removing an app connection in your Meta account stops that connection but does not itself submit a Spotlight deletion request. Use the instructions above to request deletion of information already held by Spotlight.
